If you have ever wondered the tree to person ratio here is a pretty cool study done by Nalani Nadkarni in which she answered that for us. After spending numerous hours checking NASA’s satellite photos she estimated there to be approximately 400 billion trees and over 6 billion people who inhabit the earth. After doing the math she came up with 61 trees per person. At first you may say hey that’s a pretty good amount but if you think about the amount of paper you have gone through in your lifetime and all the other accessories it starts to add up and that 61 trees doesn’t look like as much as you previously thought.
