We have seen everything from concepts of Solar Powered ships to placing a huge amount of solar panels on warehouse rooftops. Well designers don’t want to stop there. This time Solar PV developers are concentrating on solar panel windows which are transparent and can go on the side of any building. The windows can generate anywhere from 80-250 watts each, depending on the size and you an cover the entire side of a building without having to worry about not being able to have a view.
Another cool thing about these windows is that they reduce heat and they provide a 100 percent UV and infrared radiation reduction. They still don’t stop there as they can be customized to be bulletproof and to withstand the weather of the area that the building is located.
The company creating these claims that it can save a building up to 50 percent in energy which is a huge amount. Little by little we are going to start seeing building covered in these solar panels. You can check out RSi Solar for more information on this project.
