Here’s a very cool movement by activists Daniel Bowman Simon and Casey Gustowarow. What they have done is taken their flipped up double bus and have planted a garden on the top half of the bus and have begun touring the country. They are doing this in hopes to spread the word on what needs to be done in regards to the food system as well as get enough people to sign their petition. The petition is to demand that part of the White Houses grounds will be turned into an organic farmland.

I think that this is a great idea because if you really think about it there is a lot of wasted space there that is not doing anything but taking up space. Also in the petition it states that the farm can be used to provide food for the president, guests as well as local public schools. Another cool thing I think they could do with the school bus is maybe add some solar panels to create some natural energy to help maintain their garden on the top or for other uses. If you want more details on this petition or their bus head over to thewhofarm now and take a look. via IT

  1. I strongly disagree with this…there’s much more land out there that ppl need to reach out to n actually make it happen.(by this i mean use unattended land n convert it into an organic farmland) All i could say is, good luck to him.
