It’s been some time since the release of the energy efficient CFL light bulbs but their are still many people that have yet to make the switch. For some its due to the fact that the CFL light bulbs produce a strong glare and others just haven’t gotten to it yet. If you are either of those two check out the Bright Idea Shade light bulb. This bulb was created at the Eyebeam OpenLab and the design is amazing.The intricate design makes it so that the bulb still provides a great amount of light but does not hurt your eyes if you ever look at the bulb.

These have yet to hit manufacturers but the creators provide the blueprints here so that anyone can go ahead and manufacture them. They do not wish to manufacture it themselves because they feel that if a big corporation picks the idea up then it will sell better as well as faster.
