We have seen solar powered lawn mowers to solar cars and it seems that they aren’t going to stop there with solar innovations. IBM has recently stated that they would like to see Solar sidewalks within the next 5 years. This is said to be done using thin-film solar cells which are actually cheaper then the cells we currently have and can be easily placed on driveways, houses, windows and many other things. The only thing I’m curious about is the durability of these cells seeing as how they will be walked and ridden on constantly throughout the day.
