As time passes we see more and more countries, states, cities and people becoming more ECO friendly. Singapore currently has a landfill called the Semakau Landfill which is an island that is 8 kilometers south of Singapor and is used for ash disposal. Singapore’s National Environment Agency (NEA) is currently in the process of studying the possibility of placing an ECO friendly park on this landfill. Singapores recycling rates have gone up to 54% from 40% which is where it was at 7 years ago. This may not seem much but it is a significant amount. There is currently no other information on this project but lets hope they find a way to go through with it.
