Yesterday we showed you the Bright Idea Shade light bulb for those of you out there who either haven’t made the switch to energy efficient light bulbs as well as for those who don’t like the bright glare from the CFL light bulbs. Frog Design has just introduced a new LED light bulb that can last for up to 30 years! This bulb also uses less energy then the CFL lights and you don’t have to deal with the odd shape or strong glare that they emit. The way its designed to make the bulb last so long is that it has an aluminum base which absorbs the heat generated so it doesn’t burn out.

Frog Design did not focus 100% on making an environmental light bulb instead they approached it in a way that would have a bit of innovation as well as a bit of “green” This design has yet to be released but will be coming out soon so this is a nice way to make the switch from your old light bulbs.  You can read more about this light bulb at Frog Design.
