Madison Square Tree Huts

Posted Nov 4th 2008  By Gabriel Harding

Growing up many of us wanted to build a tree house in the tree in our backyard or in our friends trees. The picture above is from an exhibition in Madison Square Garden which featured work by Tadashi Kawamata and is called the Madison Square Tree Huts. All of the huts where constructed on site and built with materials found and construction scraps. Another cool thing about these huts is that they where built with rubber sheets so that the bark of the tree does not get crapped or penetrated. This is definitely a cool art exhibition and if you would like more info you can head over to the Madison Square Garden Conservancy website.via Ih
