As I was growing up the animal I found most amazing was the Cheetah simply due to the speeds it could run as well as the way they look. Well I just found out that the United Nations Environment Program has just placed Cheetahs on the Endangered Species List. Over the past years the population of Cheetahs has dramatically decreased and unless something is done this amazing animal will cease to exist.

According to the UNEP the Cheetah is already extinct in 18 countries that it lived in. A recent survey that they did stated that their are less then 10,000 of left in Africa and their are only 50 of them left in Asia where they where once highly populated. This is all due to the loss of it’s natural habitat and the impact humans have had on it. Many government organizations and independent environment groups are doing everything they can to keep the Cheetah population on earth.
