The holidays are here and with the whole “Green” subject on many peoples minds here we have for you the World’s First OLED Christmas Tree made by GE. The tree is made with a 6 inch by 15 ft OLED system that is rolled up in the shape of a Christmas tree. Although the tree is quite small this just goes to show how promising OLED technology is becoming. You can check out a video as well as a statement from the team below.
An energy company called Fortum in Scandinavia has just recently made a commercial that features the Tesla Roadster that we previewed you with a couple of weeks ago. The commercial brings us back to the first automobiles made and then ends it with a scene of the Tesla charging up at a charging station on the side of the road. Check out the video above.
Here is a pretty cool animation on the story of the life of the earth. Just as we humans get sick this shows the natural balance the earth needs to have and how it can and is sick. Enjoy =).
Dodge has just recently releases their Dodge Challenger which caught the attention of many muscle car lovers, young and old. Containing a 6.1 liter Hemi dishing out 425 horses with 420 lb ft of torque this is definitely a powerful car which probably only gets around 14mph. But this isn’t the only thing that Dodge is working on because it knows the future is in electric cars or cars which produce little to no emissions so they made the Dodge EV which looks almost exactly like the Lotus Europa and put both cars to drag race. Now who was the winner? Check out the video below and find out.
Apple has recently introduced to us their new “green” Macbook. It uses less materials as well as “greener” materials for their new ipods as well as laptops. Not only that though but it is also designed to use less power while running. Take a look at the video above for some more details.via zp
Here’s a funny video with information on your “carbon footprints” and what you can do to help the environment out. It is from Travelocity but I wonder if they are just sending a message out to tel us what they think we should do or if they themselves are taking part of what the video above tells us.
I’m not sure what else can make you feel and realize that taking your time on rather you should go green anytime soon is a good idea. With the world that we live in effected by our decision daily, we shouldn’t waste anymore time on not improving our world. From the war in Iraq to the financial crisis we all need to understand that “waiting” isn’t a great idea. The video above is really a mood killer and hits you pretty hard. The organization behind the ad is Quercus, a non-profit group that focuses on raising awareness of the Portuguese environmental problems and campaigns against nuclear power. Hopefully this video will help make people realize that Global Warming shouldn’t be something that we ignore.
