An energy company called Fortum in Scandinavia has just recently made a commercial that features the Tesla Roadster that we previewed you with a couple of weeks ago. Many people all over the world use their bicycles to get them from point A to B. Well for all those people who also have cell phones which are constantly dying here is a pretty cool invention that generates kinetic energy which in turn charges your cell phone. You simply clip the piece onto the bike reflector and voila you have a cell phone charger. This model takes about 90 minutes to fully charge and will produce energy as long as you keep on riding your bike. This was designed by Oscar L’Hermitte who is a design student at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Deign in London.
With the environment at the top of everyones mind many companies are looking into making their product number 1 in the ‘green’ world. Ford is set to release its very first hybrid sedan which is called the Ford Fusion and they have added a very nice dashboard to the car. This dashboard is made to encourage greener driving habits by setting up a number of displays. The way that you drive determines whether the meter on the right goes up or down. The further up it goes the better mpg you get and vice versa. Usually people who buy hybrid cars know how to drive them but I still think its a very cool little add on to the car.
Bicycles are a great way to get around. They don’t use any gasoline or produce emissions and also provide exercise for the rider. Well David Gonçalves took the bicycle to another level by making the Grasshopper which is a very nicely designed folding bicycle that generates pedal power. Not only can it be used as means for transportation but it can also serve as a stationary biking unit and can generate and store kinetic energy.

Dodge has just recently releases their Dodge Challenger which caught the attention of many muscle car lovers, young and old. Containing a 6.1 liter Hemi dishing out 425 horses with 420 lb ft of torque this is definitely a powerful car which probably only gets around 14mph. But this isn’t the only thing that Dodge is working on because it knows the future is in electric cars or cars which produce little to no emissions so they made the Dodge EV which looks almost exactly like the Lotus Europa and put both cars to drag race. Now who was the winner? Check out the video below and find out.

Do you have an iPhone? Here’s a pretty cool App that was just recently released by Hunter Research and Technologies that measures your car’s environmental impact. This is called the Greenmeter and what it does is it keeps track of your cars carbon footprint as well as your fuel efficiency. This app uses things like weather conditions, cost of fuel and vehicle weight to determine its calculations. The Greenmeter is most effective when placed on the dashboard between the two front seats but I wonder how good this app actually works. If anyone gets a chance to try it out let us know how good it is. You can look at the full picture below and If you want more info you can head over to Greenmeter and read more.
