
Many of us know that many plastics are not biodegradable. Although we have come a long way in making better and less toxic plastics the fact remains that some still may cause health risks. Well liquid wood could soon be replacing plastics. The wood based product can be mixed with other materials to make a non-toxic alternative to petroleum plastic and will still be just as strong. Recently Australian researches have been thinking of a way for Fridges to use less energy and learn how to conserve energy. What they cam up with was hosting a network of refrigerators which could all communicate with one another. All of the refrigerators communicate with each other seeing when is the best time to turn on which would cause less carbon emissions and when it is better to run less or be turned off.

Going green is a big factor for companies this year and as the year goes on we will start seeing many eco friendly innovations. Here Motorola Unveils The World’s First Carbon Neutral Cellphone which features a 100% recyclable casing which is made from recycled water bottles. Many of us are not aware of this but over 400,000 cellphones are thrown away or put out of use everyday and that really adds up as the year goes on. With newer and better cell phones constantly coming out the old ones just get thrown away.

If you do not use a dishwasher or simply do not have one you have to wash your plates in the sink. As your washing the sink tends to fill with water depending on how you wash the dishes. After you are done you simply unplug the sink or let the water run down the pipes. Well Hughie of Australia has designed a very smart way to be able to use that water instead of leaving it wasted by creating the Removable Kitchen Sink

Solar Energy is being used for everything these days and will continue to make it’s way through all the things that we use on a daily basis. Here is a very cool solar powered clock that was designed by Shuo Yang. Not only is this clock solar powered though, it is also made using recycled paper and you can actually see straight through the clock. The empty space in the middle lets you insert a picture behind it or you can just leave it empty making for a very unique and well designed clock.
